FOLDING MACHINES

Folding machines belong to the group of machinery which are bending sheet metal. The sheet is first positioned by a dead stop and clamped by pressing the upper beam against the lower beam. Now the folding beam is bending the sheet into the necessary angle.

Folding machines do have many advantages over press brakes:

- folding machines can bend perforated sheets without any problems
- as well as sheet metal with a polished surface can be bent without damaging the material surface

Folding machines are mostly used for thin sheets.
